Plzeň
Plzeň is cultural and economic center of Western Bohemia, with a rich and interesting history, located approx. 80 km from Prague.
Founded in 1295 by the king‘s Vaclav II edict Plzeň became an important trade route and that time the third biggest town in Bohemia. Now, it‘s a famous touristic point in central Europe, following Prague and Český Krumlov in Czech Republic. Beer brands Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus are worldwide well known. Everyone is invited to spend some time in restaurants and bars with the famous Pilsner beer.
Visitors can see also lot of religious and other architectonic treasures from several eras from Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque till today, see also official Pilsner web site.
